The star is to be named as a tribute to Cervantes

Several celebrities may boast of their own stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Spanish people conjured the project considered as more majestic for their literal star.

The association of Spanish astronomers, The Pamplona Planetarium, and The Cervantes Institute calling for maintenance of their idea to name a little-known star as a tribute to Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes.

Recently International Astronomical Union opened canvass during which people from all over the world are able to decide which name is to be given to one of the majority of stellar systems with extrasolar planets.

One of these systems is situated around the star famous currently as Mu Arae. The organizers of the campaign called «Star of Cervantes» want to call the stated star in honor of the mentioned writer and four planets around it as a tribute to main characters of his famous novel – Quixote, Sancho, Dulcinea, and Rocinante, as «The Local» writes.

International Astronomical Union is to make a final decision in November. The victory of Spanish campaign would come in handy, because this year 400-year anniversary since the day of publication of the second part of «Don Quixote» is celebrated.
