In Switzerland museum of Charlie Chaplin is to be opened

The founders reported that, gradually, after fifteen years of planning, this spring the museum of Charlie Chaplin is to be opened. The opening date is the 17-th of April.

As The Local informs, the opening date of Chaplin World in the village Corsier-sur-Vevey of Swiss canton will follow the 127-th anniversary of the birthday of British cinematography legend- the 16-th of April.

Chaplin had been spending twenty-five years of his life in Switzerland after he was refused to stay within the territory of USA in the 1950s because of the suspicions in the good attitude towards communism.

The huge mansion with the view on Lake of Geneva where Chaplin lived with the wife and eight children will compose one half of museum. The separated building will include extemporaneous Hollywood studio where visitor are able to get familiar with the actor’s art.
