Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions demonstrated the seventeenth volume of scientific annual ‘Ukraine diplomatic’
On this occasion on the 21-st of December the representatives of foreign diplomatic service in Ukraine gathered, uniting the famous scientists, social and political activists.
The rector of National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorskii’ Michael Zgurovskyy gave a greeting speech. The General Director of state enterprise ‘Directorate-General for Rendering Services to Diplomatic Missions’, the editor Pavel Krivonos demonstrated the books published during the year, particularly, ‘Spiritual pastor of Ukrainian nation’ (by 50-th anniversary of arch-priest service of Philaret), ‘Diplomatic and council service in the measurement of personality’, ‘The long way to diplomatic Olympus’ (recollections of ambassador Michael Dashkevich) as well as two volumes of periodical ‘Limitless diplomacy’.
The patriarch of Kyiv of all the Rus-Ukraine Philaret gave a speech about the modern condition of information and real war as well as importance of society unity. It also came about the prospective of editions and their crucial importance in the speeches of the main editor of the annual ‘Ukraine diplomatic’ Anatoliy Denisenko’, vice-president of National Academy of Science of Ukraine Sergey Pirojkov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, the Minister of foreign affairs in 2007-2009 Vladimir Ogryzko and Ambassadors Extraordinary of India Manoj Kumar Bharti and Uzbekistan Alisher Abdualiev.
The volume of the seventeenth edition of the annual reached almost 1000 pages of the text published at Ukrainian and English languages. In the book there are 65 articles, such as publications of foreign and national diplomats, scientific investigations about the modern condition and history of international relations and Ukrainian diplomacy.
Recently the annual ‘Ukraine diplomatic’ acquired the dignified place in the spiritual, diplomatic, and social life of society. It is the first time when they created unique, the only edition in European space that uses scientific positions to get wide community familiar with the diplomatic life of Ukraine and world community in general. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine well estimated the contribution into the establishment of science in the scope of diplomacy. At the presentation Sergey Pirojkov awarded the editor of the book P. A. Krivonos with the medal.
On the grounds of the 25-th anniversary of independent Ukrainian diplomacy in the rubrics ‘Echo of history and modern Ukrainian diplomacy’ the points of view inherent to Anatoliy Zlenko, Gennadiy Udovenko, and Vladimir Ogryzko at the diplomatic relations of Ukraine with other states have been contributed reflecting the period from its independence till the current time.
For the listeners of Diplomatic academy, the employees of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and all those who are interested by the history of diplomacy of independent Ukraine, the rubrics ‘Speech to veterans of diplomatic service’ is about to be important which provides the recollections of the famous native diplomats Oleg Bilorus, Borys Korneenko, Levko Lukianenko, Yuriy Kostenko, Michael Dashkevich, and Yuriy Bogaevskiy.
The interviews and investigations of the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, scientists, journalists, social and political activists are worth attention.
The edition in a systematic way and at the high scientific and theoretic level reflects the problematic of international life of our country and the entire world, makes a significant contribution in foundation of Ukrainian scientific diplomatic school, the encourages academic school to promulgate and embody the own investigations dedicated to the range of relevant problems of diplomacy and external politics.
