The affiliate unit of Paris Louvre in United Arab Emirates is built
The construction is situated at the island Saadiat in Persian bay with the square of 97 thousand square meters under the silver eight-layer top. Such a feature of the dome transforms the entering sunrays in the unpredictable ‘rain of light’ in the room.
The head of department in United Arab Emirates Manuelya Rabate announced the glorious celebration with the concerts, dances, and light installations in the day of opening. The debut exhibition represents the topic ‘From one Louvre to another: opening of museum for everybody’ consisting of 700 masterpieces.
Louvre Abu Dhabi will consist of 23 permanent galleries, temporary exhibition square, children museum, café, and trading spaces. For the first year the exhibition objects will come not only from Louvre but also from other famous French cultural centers such as museum d’Orsay and Pompidou.
The feature of the exposition is the gallery of world religions.
The entrance in the Eastern Louvre will cost for adults 60 dirham (approximately $8), for children younger than 13 years old it is free-of-charge.
