Автор: 09.02.2018 | Mexico
Carnival week in Mexico is the event which is more wonderful than anything else.

Starting approximately one week before the Lent (Catholic), carnival days are going in the condition of colorful and noisy street parades, unremitting music, dances and fireworks. Many people call Mexican carnival the second Mardi Gras like in New Orleans.

During carnival days many people come to the streets only in the masks which have to banish evil spirits, according to the legend. Immediately after the end of the carnival the Lent started, and in such a way carnival embodies the last chance to immerse into the pleasure of the peaceful life.

So as to see this wonderful carnival, one should go to one of the port cities. The best idea is to get to Mazatlan. Annually on the carnival there are more than 300 thousand people. It makes Mexican carnival as great as the carnivals in Rio de Janeiro and New Orleans. The different festivals and contests are arranged in the last days of the carnival.
