His name is Lorenzo Pianazza, he lives in Milan and he is only 18 years old. Yesterday this young Italian man committed truly heroic deed. Lorenzo saved 2-year-old boy who had fallen on the rails of the underground station.

It happened on the station ‘Repubblica’ of M3 line. Lorenzo returned home from the lyceum. In a minute before the arrival of the suburbal train, the guy noticed how a boy ran away from the mother, was too close to the rails and fell down. Not hesitating, a guy jumped on the rails and dragged the child.

For Lorenzo it took a bit more than 5 minutes to make this manoeuvre. Fortunately, the switchboard operator noticed what had happened and preliminarily reported about the incident to the machinist who stopped the train beforehand giving time to the boy to return to the platform.
