The most ancient civilization in the world is defined
The professor Eske Willerslev from Cambridge University, the leading author of investigation called the genetic card of the modern aboriginal inhabitants as the true halidom. Perhaps, it is the only group of people the origin of which could be followed symbolically ‘from the beginning of times’.
The ancestors of aborigines left Africa nearly 72 thousand years ago, then, they moved to Sahul – super continent which in pre-historical times united Australia and New Guinea. There they mixed with unknown human race that was allegedly close to Denison’s men. This congeniality has left traces in the genome of modern Australians, particularly, 4% of DNA. Reaching Australia, the descendants of aboriginal inhabitants left in complete isolation during many millenniums. Only in XVIII century they started contact with several Asian tribes and afterwards with Europeans.
Genetic difference between aboriginal inhabitants living in different parts of the continent is tremendous. DNA of Australians from North East and South West of Australia differs as much as DNA of American Indians and citizens of Siberia. The huge desert in the centre of continent did not allow to the tribes to mix between each other.
