Japanese travel company offers virtual flights abroad

Автор: 03.03.2018 | Japan
In Japan, the travel company offers visitors of a special First Airlines restaurant the opportunity to fly virtually to Paris, New York, Rome or Hawaii, without leaving Tokyo.

Visitors of the restaurant are checked in, like it happens in conventional airports, and in the ‘salon’ they are waiting for the first and business class seats. Before the ‘departure’, specially trained employees dressed in the form of flight attendants of the airlines conduct safety briefings.

All guests are served four dishes, similar to those that are carried in airplanes. The menu depends on the fact where the virtual flight is currently taking place.

After the flight, customers can make a VR-excursion around the city in which the flight is performed.

Most of their visitors are elderly Japanese, who can not make long flights because of physical restrictions related to their age.
