European Council has chosen the most attractive country for tourists

The stated country has got award for its prominent landscapes, ancient culture and landmarks among which there are nine UNESCO world heritage sites, as Daily Mail reports. Particularly, in the List of World Heritage Sites the following ones are mentioned: Simien Mountains National Park, Rock-Cut Churches in Lalibela, fortress Fasil Ghebbi, ancient city Axum, archaeological site Tiya, historical city Harar Jugol and other sites.

According to European Council, for the last decade, the number of tourists attending the country increased by ten percents; as a result positive alterations in the scope of economics are observed. Last year more than 600 thousand tourists visited the country; this year Ethiopian authorities are planning to put up one million guests. The main purpose of the state, according to the data of Ministry of culture and tourism of Ethiopia, is the profit mark-up from tourism up to three billion dollars this year. It is stated that in 2013, yields from the tourists were two billion dollars.
