Shopping Festival in Istanbul

Shopping Festival has been organized annually since 2011 under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

All these days the largest shopping malls such as Kapalıçarşı and Mısır Çarşısı stay open round the clock. In addition all shoppers have a great opportunity to buy goods at great discount prices (up 50 per cent); foreign tourists are particularly lucky  as when departing from Turkey they can claim for tax free return.

Among other bonuses for shoppers there are many special events, lotteries, contests, fashion shows, parties and other entertainments.

Traditionally the greatest number of people hunting for beneficial purchases concentrates in the shopping districts: Sultan Ahmet Square and Avenues Abdi İpekçi, Bağdat, Bahariye, İstasyon, Istiklal.
