Spanish man at the age of 80 became a student of the Erasmus program

Spanish man Miguel Castillo, 80 years old, became a student of the educational program Erasmus. He claims to have got no doubts about his age and feels like one of ordinary students.

At the University of Valencia, he is studying history as one of his teachers had advised him to apply for participation in Erasmus +.

Miguel Castio is a retired notary. He decided to get one more education after a heart attack and surgery.

Miguel has three daughters and six grandchildren, he was born in 1937 in Valencia in a farm family. His first, legal, education, he was able to get only after the second attempt - after he failed the exams and worked for a while with his father on the farm.

Student and academic exchange programs Erasmus have been working for 30 years. Since 2014, they have been transformed into the Erasmus + platform, which, in addition to traditional academic mobility, includes volunteering in foreign countries, exchanges of young leaders in the area of sports and youth policy.
