International Internet-Free Day

World Internet-community celebrates it annually on the last Sunday of January. The main purpose of the stated holiday is to distract people from computers and global net at least at one day so as to live it only in «real» world, communicate with other people in exclusionary alive way or dedicate it to the favorite hobby (which, of course, is not connected with the Internet).

This holiday comes from the beginning of 2000s, and was initiated, according to some data, by «Institute for Social Inventions in the United Kingdom» and announced by British non-profitable Internet-project «DoBe.org». The only thing known precisely is that organizers of International Internet-Free Day became active and advanced electronic space – users.

Currently International Internet-Free Day has followers in many cities, including Russian ones. By the way, in our country this day involves also educational establishments, for instance, libraries that invite at different cultural and social events in honor of this holiday. Let’s try to celebrate International Internet-Free Day beyond the net, but in such a way as you wish, and the main idea is to do it with pleasure. Indeed, in real world there are many interesting and unexplored, undone and forgotten, pleasant and beloved items.
