In Turkey real $1 million banknote is seized

One million dollar banknote has been found in Turkey. Surprisingly, the currency note has happened to be a real one.
As it is reported, in Manisa province the banknote was seized in course of operation on the counterfeiters arrest. However, after verification one million dollar denomination is alleged to be real.
Yet, the banknote was confiscated because suspected people were not able to explain where they had taken the rare banknote. There is every likelihood that it had been smuggled so as to sale to private collectors in Istanbul.
One million banknotes were printed in USA in 1988; nevertheless, they were not accepted as official monetary unit of the country. Such a banknote is a membership card necessary for the millionaires club launched by the entrepreneur Terry Stuart. Later it was sold as the souvenir.
