Автор: 20.11.2017
On the third Monday of November Revolution Day is annually celebrated in Mexico. This holiday is established in honor of the anniversary of the beginning of Mexican revolution under the guidance of Francisco Madero in 1910. As the result of this revolution the regime of dictator Dias was toppled while the place of the president was taken by Madero.

The revolution started on the 20-th of November 1910 when after the bright celebration of one hundred anniversary of Mexico independence the followers of Francisco Madero performed against the regime of the general Porfitio Dias. Firstly Dias under the pressure of society exceeded the requirements of revolutionaries and announced the elections, however, then he thought again and put behind the bars Madero, the min candidacy for president position, in the prison.

By 1911 the general Dias was not able to control the situation because the number of those dissatisfied with his regime increased among the people. Apart from that, the defenders of distressed peasants who had the huge support among the citizens of the provinces appeared. As the result, in May 1911 the general handed in resignation while the authority was taken by Madero.
