In Mexico over the water surface 400-year-old temple appeared
As the architects have estimated, the temple was built in XVI century. Above the water the walls of constructions appeared, their height in several places reaches ten meters. The length of found building is nearly sixty-one meters, as well as the width is fourteen meters.
It is not the first time when the temple having been drown in the 1960-s because of building of dike taking place not far away appears on the surface of artificial pond. In 2002 the level of water decreased to such an extent that the connoisseurs of architecture were able to observe the ruins themselves inside. This time the trips are held by local fishermen on their boats.
The construction is connected with the name of the first permanent bishop in Chiapas Bartolome de las Casas, as the edition reports. Admittedly, he elevated building together with the group of churchmen coming to Mexico in 1540-s.
