The word ‘brexit’ appeared in Oxford dictionary
The dictionary definition of ‘brexit’ is interpreted as ‘[supposed] exit of the Great Britain from European Union and political processes connected with it. Sometimes it is used for the definition of referendum arranged in the Great Britain on the 23-rd of June 2016 where the majority of voters chose exit from European Union’.
Apart from that, the dictionary includes word ‘grexit’ created upon the same model that means potential exit of Greece from European zone.
Among other words included in the dictionary recently, there are ‘glam-ma’ meaning glamorous aged woman, and ‘verklempt’ borrowed from Yiddish that intends to indicate fulfillment of emotions.
This year on the 23-rd of June British people voted for the exit of its country from European Union. In October the Supreme Court of London decided that decision about the beginning of procedure of exit from European Union also has to be accepted by the parliament. Currently the Supreme Court of Great Britain is considering an appeal at this decision.
The formal negotiations about the exit of Great Britain from European Union will have not started until Prime Minister Teresa May turns into effect the section 50 of Lisbon agreement. As she said, it will have happened by the end of March 2017. In such a way, official exit will have happened on or prior to the date of summer 2019.
