Airbnb has simplified seeking housing for people with disabilities

The new features will allow travelers to look for housing on such important parameters as the absence of steps, the illuminated path to the doors, the presence of an elevator, barrier-free entrance to the rooms, wide doorways, accessible toilet height, handrails in the shower, special parking and so on.
Earlier travelers with disabilities could rely solely on the criterion of "access for wheelchairs", but such a vague definition did not always meet their individual needs.
The introduction of new filters for housing search is another logical step of service to an accessible environment for travelers. Note that since 2017 Airbnb has been cooperating with experts from the California Council for People with Blindness, the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers and the National Council for Independent Living to increase the accessibility of its services.
