Madeira Nature Festival
Generally, Madeira Nature Festival has been lasting for one week, during which at the central square of Arriaga Avenue there are events connected with active and healthy rest. At the square of Restoration there is miniature village holiday with the involvement of folk bands and demonstration of traditional games. And do not forget about Maderian delicacies!
Apart from exciting city events, on the seaboard of Machico and Porto da Cruz there will be Madeira Word Games. This event is a part of Nature Festival in the course of which entertaining events are held in ocean, air and on the ground, as well as going for a walk by jeeps "Safari", hiking on levadas, canyoning, mountain biking, riding, walks on all-terrain vehicles, view of birds, rock-climbing, looking at dolphins and whales, boat tours, diving, paddle, snorkeling, surf-riding, highlight tours, rope-way, single-engine aeroplane tour, paragliding, and others.
One more wonderful event held durind Nature Festival is the Photo-Competition. It is organised annually with the assistance of tourism administration of Madeira where photo-admirers take part.
Madeira Nature Festival will take place from the 7-th til 12-th of October.
