Guy Fawkes Day and Bonfire Night, which accompanies it, are considered to be the noisiest holidays in England.

The festive is celebrated every year on the 5-th of November, however, if this day falls into Sunday, the holiday is earliarized.

In England at «Bonfire Night» people usually invite guests at celebratory dinner where the drawing card is incineration of Guy Fawkes effigy. All guests go outside, set off firecrackers, burn effigy, make bonfires, and get on well. Traditionally on the 5-th of November, people cook mashed potatoes with thick English grilled sausages, and bake potato in coal, eating it with the a pinch of salt.

There is another dish thought to be traditional at Guy Fawkes Day – chicken sticks barbecue with cabbage and carrot salad «coleslaw» napped with mayonnaise sauce, and as a dessert there are apples toffy with syrup which the butterscotch is made from. Children color face by coal «for dazzle», happily congregate around the fire, being unsuspicious of true intention of this holiday.
