Perfume Pagoda Festival in Vietnam
It is the most durable holiday in Vietnam; it will have been lasting for more than two months. Perfume pagoda is one of the most ancient Buddhist sanctuaries in Vietnam. It is located in Hatay, in 27 kilometers southwestward from Hanoy.
Every year for three spring months, it becomes the hub of embarkation of Buddhists from all corners of Vietnam. Staying there at the beginning of Lunar year, you should pray to God Almighty for yourself and your relatives.
It is considered that in such a way a person may protect his family from evil spirits and for the whole day ensure the support of kind powers. Pagoda was launched in the 15-th century.
Currently it is not simple temple but the entire complex of mountain and cavate sanctuaries thought to be one of the most important historical monuments in Vietnam. Besides pilgrims, thousands of tourists attend the pagoda. Annually up to 500 thousand people visit the complex.
