In Kyiv more than twenty sculptures of angels with the message of different countries will be put

At the event the representatives of diplomatic missions of Lithuania, Latvia, Switzerland, Georgia, Moldova, Israel, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and other countries were presented.

‘The aim of this evening is the presentation of ‘Angels of nations’ to our future partners, the representatives of diplomatic missions in Ukraine. Today I invite you to participate in this wonderful project which is about to encourage the deepening of connections between your countries and Kyiv as well as the entire Ukraine’, the sponsor of the project Ignas Yurkonis appealed to the guests.

As the deputy head of Kyiv city state administration Alexey Resnikov told, five countries confirmed their participation of the project. As the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuanian Republic to Ukraine Marjus Ynukonis: ‘This year we celebrate twenty-five years of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Ukraine, and I hope that this project is about to become one more beautiful element of our collaboration’.

According to the concept of the project, the organizers plan to establish more than twenty sculptures of the angels in height of 1.3 meters in the main travel places of Kyiv. The citizens of Kyiv and guests of the capital may observe near each angel the tablet with the message from Ukraine to the friendly country. The author of sculptures became Ukrainian artist and sculptor, the member of National union of artists of Ukraine Vyacheslav Didkovskyy.

‘Every nation has its special feature which outlines it among others. Perhaps, it will not define completely its success, however, it exactly makes stronger and richer! The best what each nation could share with Ukraine today is to give to it a part of its ‘power’, send to it an angel with the unique virtue. We will gather them all so as to make our city and country stronger, in order to let all of its citizens know that world is with Ukraine, and Ukraine is with peace!’, the organizers of the project remark.

The established angels will create the travel route ‘Way of angels’ and will tell the city legend why angel appeared verily at the stated place locating nearby and what sculpture symbolizes.

Now the places for location of the angels take a procedure of compliance with KITA and embassies. Upon the accomplishment of organization moments it is planned to arrange open presentation of the project ‘Angels of nations, with the belief in Ukraine’ for mass media and representatives of community.
