Catalonian police arrested 80-year-old citizen Cornelia de Libregat (Barcelona) who is accused of stealing the medal from Olympic champion from France.
The bronze medal was received by French woman on the championship of Europe on skating sports that has recently finished in German Dresden.
The police reports that stealing happened on the 15-th of January in airport of Barcelona. The aged man watched sportswoman dining in one of the places of airport and stole its carry-on bag. In the bag there were skates that cost three thousand euro, laptop and other belongings among which a bronze medal was. In the same day the police found out the stolen bag in one of the rubbish bins in the center of Barcelona. Inside there were skates and some things of the sportswoman.
The last week the police arrested a suspected person. The authorities expect him to have a person to work together. The medal was taken away and returned to the legal owner.
