Chopin Airport banned night flights

Автор: 05.04.2018 | Warsaw
Warsaw Airport named after Frederic Chopin (WAW) does not accept aircraft in the interval from 11:30 pm to 5:30 am. To introduce the "night silence" mode, 15 flights were moved in the timetable.

Airport representative Hubert Wojciechowski assured that the changes will not affect the capacity of the air harbor. He also talked about exceptions. They will be made for aircraft carrying out state, military or rescue flights, and ships whose arrival was delayed for reasons beyond the control of the air carrier. Also at the Chopin airport you can make an emergency landing.

The ban is associated with the desire to reduce noise at night. Residents of houses located near the airport, for years, complained that the planes interfere with them normally to rest in the dark.
