Day of Akhalteke horse in Turkmenistan

The skin is thin, and through it easily emerges a network of blood vessels. The hairline is extremely thin, soft and silky; mane is rare and not very long, and often completely absent.

Akhalteke horses are the national treasure of Turkmenistan. Akhalteke's image can be found even on the State Emblem of the country. In 2013, the National Bank of Turkmenistan issued memorable gold and silver coins featuring the famous horse for the holiday.
