Kazakhstan has approved a new version of the alphabet

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev approved the new edition of the national alphabet on the basis of the Latin alphabet.
According to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev made changes to the decree, which was signed in late October 2017.
According to the document, the transition to the Latin alphabet should be completed by 2025.
The updated version of the alphabet contains fewer Latin letters with apostrophes. Without apostrophes, the letters o, u, y will be used, and also there are two double letters - sh and ch.
