Pakistan Day, also known as the Pakistani Resolution Day or Republic Day in Pakistan and celebrated on the 23-rd of March, is Pakistan's national holiday.
It marks the anniversary of the formation of the Islamic Republic on the 23-rd of March, 1956.
Pakistan became the first Islamic republic in the world, i.e., a state where the role of Islamic clergy plays the role in the government of the state. The starting point in creating a new state on the basis of the Dominion of Pakistan was the adoption of the Lahore resolution in March 1940, according to which the principles of the future structure of the Muslim state were laid.
On Pakistan Day, celebrations are held in the country. In particular, the celebration of this day includes the military and civilian parade in the capital of Pakistan, the ceremony of presenting state awards. It is imperative that wreaths are laid on this day in the mausoleum of Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
