Upon an initiative of World Heart Federation and with the support of World Health Organisation, and UNESCO, International day of heart is celebrated on the 29-th of September annually.
The first time the date was celebrated in 2000. Till 2011 the date of celebration of International day of heart fell into the last Sunday of September, however, afterwards date of holiday has been recognized on the 29-th of September, finally.
