The first day of June has become one second longer. According to Grinwich, on the 30-th of June, 2015 after 23:59:59 it was not the 1-st of July (at 00:00:00) that started, but 23:59:60, and afterwards the 1-st of July came. BBC News informs about that.

International Earth Rotation Service situated in Paris has taken such decisions. Extension of the last minute of June from 60 seconds to 61 seconds the scientists connected with the slow-up of Earth rotation about its own axis caused by gravitational effect of the Moon and the Sun.
