The skeleton of carnivorous dinosaur is tendered in Great Britain, as it is reported at the web-site of auction house «Summers Place Auctions».

The organizers of the auction are planning to sell the lot at the price from 300 thousand to 500 thousand pounds (from 460 thousand to 771 thousand dollars). The bidding will take place on the 25-th of November in Billingshurst village (the earl West Sussex).

«The Allosaurus, together with the T-Rex, has become the quintessentially large, carnivorous dinosaur in western popular culture. Given the size of this Allosaurus it also adds the cute factor and may not just attract interest from museums but could also be the wow factor in a luxurious living room», the head of auction house Rupert Van Der Werff.

The pangolin had been living in a time period from 145 to 155 million years ago. The skeleton has two meters in length and belongs to the juvenily – an adult allosaurus reaches 8.5 meters in length. The skeleton has been found during the excavations in the borrow in Wyoming state.

The references to the allosaurus may be found out in many opuses and films of XX century. For example, Conan Doyle writes about him in the novel «The Lost World».
