Portugal became the best travel destination in 2017

Portugal became the winner of great final World Travel Awards 2017 gaining prize ‘the best travel destination in the world’.
After the victory in Europe as the leading destination on the 30-th of September in Saints-Petersburg, Portugal joined the list of 17 candidacies at the ambitious final that happened on the 10-th of November at Phu Quoc (Vietnam). Among the contestants there were such countries as Brazil, Greece, Maldives, USA, Morocco, Vietnam, Spain, etc.
For the first time this award was obtained by European country.
