In Ukraine the week of Israeli cinema will take place
For the fourth year in a row the Embassy of Israel to Ukraine has organized this event along with the Kyiv international cinema festival ‘Molodist’.
In the capital the week of Israeli cinema will start on the 8-th of September in 20:30 in the cinema theater ‘Kyiv’ with the premier acting work of Natalie Portman ‘Tale of love and darkness’, the premier of which happened in 2015 at Cannes cinema festival.
The movie tells about the life of a famous writer Amos Oz being shot on its autobiographical novel. The action happens in 1940s in Jerusalem where the future novelist spent his years of childhood. In the center of the plot there are interrelations of Oz with his mother as well as his first steps in the writing career.
Among other films of the program there are the participants of the most prestigious cinema festivals of the world such as Cannes International Film Festival and Berlinale, the laureates of the Golden Globe Award, those who got the awards of Israeli cinema academy and Jerusalem International Film Festival.
The films of the program are demonstrated at the original language with English and Ukrainian subtitles.
