International Human Rights Day
All the states and parties concerned were offered to accept this day and arrange the appropriate events.
The date of the 10-th of December was chosen in honor of acceptance and announcement of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UHDR) by General Assembly of United Nations on the 10-th of December, 1948.
The stated Declaration confirmed almost immediately after the dreadful Second World War flouted all rights that were possible, including right at life of millions and millions of people, became the first document in the world formulated statements about the human rights. It includes the wide range of political, civil, social, cultural, and economical rights.
In the last decade, Human Rights Day is held every year under the definite slogan chosen by United Nations.
Besides that, each five years on the 10-th of December, in anniversary of pronouncement of the Universal Declaration on the Rights of Peoples there is the ceremony of United Nations awarding in the scope of human rights. It has been established in 1966 to mark those who made significant contribution in the deal of encouragement and protection of human rights, and firstly was presented in 1968.
