For the first time Scottish government will be ruled by a woman

Sturgeon entrance upon duties will be announced at the congress of Scottish nationalists on November, this year. At that time she will rule the party officially.

After that parliament of Scotland is called to confirm her candidacy. Thus, as it is expected, this procedure will not cause any problem.

For several years Sturgeon has holding a position of deputy of First minister of Scotland Alex Salmond. In total in team of Salmond she has been working for more than ten years.

That is exactly why, when Salmond claimed that he had decided to leave the position of head of Scottish government and leader of the party (after failure of nationalists at the referendum about independence), Sturgeon became the main contender to the change. As it was informed by representatives of other parties, another candidacies even were not investigated.

Most Scottish people have taken favourably the quick assignment of Sturgeon. They hope that heiress of Salmond will not only save the ideals of Scottish nationalists but also bring new power and energy to the party.

Sturgeon, commenting on advance to the position of first minister, has noticed that «remains follower of independent Scotland», however, «is not preparing for the new referendum».
