In China, between Hong Kong and Macao appeared the world's longest sea bridge.
Its length is 55 kilometers. For transport, it will open in the second half of 2018. The length of the new sea bridge includes three artificial islands and an underwater tunnel, also considered as the longest in the world, particularly, 6.7 kilometers. It has connected Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao and cut the distance between Hong Kong and Zhuhai, for example, from 3 hours to 30 minutes.
It took 6 years to prepare the construction, and 8 years more were dedicated to the construction of the bridge.
It is planned to open in the second half of 2018. According to the creators, the bridge will withstand an earthquake of magnitude 8 and will have been serving for at least 120 years.
