In China there is a place where ten thousand glowworms live
Now it is a house for ten thousand luminous insects brought from Ganzhou (province Jiangxi). There are not so many things which may amaze as the wonderful view of glowworms at warm summer night.
Unfortunately, over the last years, world population of these exciting insects significantly decreased. The reason became contamination and destruction of the natural places of inhabitance of luminous beetles.
Unwilling to tolerate the absolute extinction of the sort, Chinese East Lake Peony Garden in Hankow city lived out a dream to discover this majestic place.
The stated park is dedicated only to the luminous insects and nobody else. It is divided into five areas: zone of flights, area of contact (with zero spacing), area of breeding, and scientific department.
The culture of luminous beetles is uneasy and pricy task. As Oddity Central claims, the cost of one insect is nearly ten yuan (1.5-2 dollars).
Taking into account the fact that glowworms are season insects, the park which opened on the 30-th of May, will not have accepted guests since October. However, having analyzed its attendance (only the first working day attracted more than thousand people), the administration intends to open it again the next year.
In the park of glowworms people are eager to arrange various entertaining events: family holidays, festivals with the areas for camping, childish entertaining programs, etc.
