In Umbria the black truffles fair is held
The truffles fair which is considered as the most valuable common Italian product, annually gives possibility to visitors to savour the intrinsic taste of Umbrian black truffle and other typical products of the region, as well as to reveal enogastronomic masterpieces of other Italian districts.
«Nero Norcia» is the most important event in agricultural and nutritive area of Umbria that is traditionally organized at the end of February – beginning of March, since the 50-s years of the last century.
Except for gastronomic point, this acclaimed festival dedicated to «His Grace Truffle», also offers the extensive entertaining program to the attendee, together with immersion into the local folklore and different field conferences, as Italia-ru reports.
As the part of the program in «Nero Norcia»-2015 we should mark also exhibitions of visual art and photography in Castellina Palace, theatre performances, and demonstration of several crafts: cheese production, embossing of fells, and even iron-forge work.
In Umbria 30 000 kilos of «black gold» are excavated per a year.
