Eructation of Big Geyser is noticed in Iceland, reports Ice News. As it is informed, Geyser has kept silence for nearly two years.

Holldora Elton, the worker of hotel Geysir, was the first who noticed vapor cloud above Big Geyser. When she had left the hotel so as to observe the phenomenon better, the eructation started.

Elton claims that it is rara avis because she has been working in the hotel for two years and has never noticed how Geysir could erupt.

Geysir the name of which is known for all the geysers in the world is situated in the valley Haukadalur. During the eruption it may push hot water at the height of up to 60 meters, however, such things happen quite rarely. It is known that Geysir used to stay in hibernation transforming into the lake. Its ‘elder brother’Strokkur located in 40 meters erupts every 7-10 minutes pushing water at the height of 30 meters.
