In Girona the biggest model of Titanic in the world will be built

In Spanish city Girona the biggest model of legendary liner Titanic will be built.

According to Jesus Ferreiro, the president of the Titanic Foundation, the size of the model will correspond 9 meters in length, 2 meters widthwise, and 2,4 meters in height. Thus, the model will copy the famous vessel in scale 1.30.

After driving in the state of full operational status, the ship will be sent in Granada where its inner environment will be worked out, afterwards the modern «Titanic» of considerable dimensions will make a world tour.

It is planned that in the frame of this cruise, Spanish liner will visit Italy, Great Britain, Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia, and USA.

In Granada, in its turn, people will make the model of British harbor Southampton from which «Titanic» started its way in 1912, and also such elements of «inner adornments» of ship as captain’s bridge, locker of art objects, ship’s hold with ferried automobiles and even wine vault where shammy had been saved.

According to the creator of this masterpiece of ornamental and industrial art, the model of «Titanic» should be in the harbor of Granada in January the next year. Orientation beginning time of its «cruise» is expected in the first months of 2016.
