In Paris the sketch of Leonardo da Vince unknown yet has been found where the Saint Sebastian chained to the tree is depicted.
As it is reported by CNN, in March 2016 French doctor in retirement brought to the experts of auction house Tajan the set of pictures for the estimation. All the pictures belonged to his father who used to reside in the central France.
Among fifteen pictures given by doctor the experts noticed the portrait of Saint Sebastian. The experts figured out that work is highly likely to be of master Leonardo da Vinci and was done between 1482 and 1485.
The verily doctor who wanted to remain unknown even did not suppose which rare object during many years had been saved in his house. The specialists estimated the stated sketch in $16 millions. If the picture is about to be sold for the mentioned amount, it will hit the record established in 2001 at the auction Christie's – then picture of da Vinci ‘ Horse and Rider’ went by auction for $11.5 million.
The action will be lasting not only on the water but also in the air. The ceremony of opening will be organized on the 28-th of January twice, at 6 pm with the repetition at 8 pm at the channel Cannaregio.
