Señor de Luren Festival is celebrated in Ika city on the third week of October.
In Ika city situated in 300 km from the capital of Peru – Lima city, there is a religious demonstration in honour of city patron Jesus Christ, where great number of local citizens and tourists gather, colourful fair, game, and other entertaining events are organised.
In the main day of celebration, the image of Christ flies by the whole town from dusk till dawn of the next day. History of this holiday's appearance comes to 1570, when crucifixion of Jesus Christ – protector of Ika – enigmatically lost in desert, and then was found in city called Luren.
