In Turkey, as a result of an accident at the mine in the city of Soma more than 200 people were killed, according to BBC.
According to energy minister Taner Yildiz , the explosion occurred due to short circuit . At that moment about 800 people were in the mine. According to Energy Minister carbon monoxide poisoning caused so many deaths.
At the moment 360 people were evacuated, but there are still people at a depth of two kilometers..
Office of the Turkey Prime Minister Erdogan announced that he canceled a planned visit to Albania and went to the place of tragedy in Soma .
Explosion at the mine , owned by a private entity , occurred on Tuesday , 13 May , at 15.30 local time. Fire and transformer substation explosion happened at a depth of 150 due to a technical defect.
