In Turkey The Day of Republic is celebrated
This day the amends were added to the Constitution of Turkey, the result of which occurred as dissolution of the Ottoman Empire, and Turkey became republic.
The Day of Republic is celebrated annually within the territory of the whole Turkey. The festive events usually begin on the 28-th of October at the second half of day. In the holiday in country there are national flags hung out, and in governmental authorities, educational establishments, and schools there is a day off.
At schools, in a binding offer, the glorious events are held, in the streets there are celebratory parade. In holiday the street traffic is rather overcrowded because of the parade of pupils and army.
In mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk at the special ceremonial square military parades are organized. The different parties celebrate this day with the debates concerning past and future of the country. Once a day the noisy festive life quietens down taking part in the moment of silence. Along toward evening there are fireworks and performances of celebrities at the squares and avenues.
