The 1st Commercial Movie Performance in New York

On May 20, 1895 the first-ever commercial movie performance took place in New York.

A four-minute filmed boxing match between Young Griffo and Charles Barnett was honoured of becoming the premiere of its kind, every visitor was charged 25 cents.

A new leisure enjoyed tremendous success. Over time, Europe took after America and commercial movie performances were held in Berlin and Paris. And after seven years, the world's first real movie theatre L. A. Electric Theatre opened in the States.

Today’s film distribution is a modern industry with a billion profits. Residents of large cities watch movies not only in 3D, but in 4D, 5D, and even 8D. And the Australian forward-thinking scientists created a prototype of interactive cinema. The creators claim that the audience will be offered more than 20 short videos from which it will be possible to create a movie and to get inside the scene.

And Japanese inventors learned to inject the smell of each movie scene directly into cinema's seats. So, love shorts are accompanied by floral scent, tearful episodes smell of peppermint and rosemary mixture. In happy moments one can fill citrus odour, and anger is symbolized by herbal infusion interspersed with of eucalyptus and tea tree aromas.
