Don't Stop Me Now: songs making people happy are defined
For a whale of time he has been investigating the impact of music on the feeling of joy and happiness inherent to a person and as a result created a top-ranging from musical compositions which could help to maintain the so-called nirvana.
The scientist of Dutch University of Groningen pondered the issue whether music gives happiness, and if so, which criteria should manage the music selection.
According to the scientist’s calculations, the best frame of mind could be acquired while listening to the song of 1978 by British band «The Queen» «Don't Stop Me Now», as Le Figaro reports.
Mr. Jolij has come to such conclusions following the sturdy scientific formula. The songs should meet the range of requirements: the music beat is to make at least 150 touches per a minute, the lyrics are to keep positive mood, not to mention the fact that music is to be written in the major scale.
Having followed these criteria, the scientist composed a list of «happy» songs with «The Queen» in charge. Three leaders are represented by «Dancing Queen» performed by ABBA and «Good Vibrations» sung by «Beach Boys».
Ten positions are obtained by «Eye Of The Tiger» by rock-band «Survivor», «Girls Just Wanna Have Fun» by Cyndi Lauper and football hymn «I Will Survive» by Gloria Gaynor.
