UNESCO included the tradition of preparation and usage of Armenian cracker bread in the list of immaterial cultural heritage of humanity. Besides that, Brazilian martial art capoeira which combines elements of dance and acrobatics has received special status of protection by UNESCO.
Explaining the stated decision, organization reported: "Knowledge and skills related to preparation, disposal, and usage of lavash flow in the families as the part of everyday life, they are main component of [Armenian] identity and symbol of friendship and reconciliation”. Concerning Brazilian dance capoeira the spokesman of organization called him «intangible cultural heritage» and mentioned that UNESCO will support Brazil in tendency of saving of this tradition.
Initially capoeira appeared due to African slaves at Brazilian plantations. Thus they try to save martial traditions visoring them as dance. Capoeira is performed by two people dancing on hands and legs accompanied by percussion instruments.
Among other approved additions to the list there are Azerbaijan female headdress kyalagai and Korean folk song "Ariran", introduced by Northern Korea for consideration of UNESCO.
