International games of nomads happened for the first time in 2015 at the coast of picturesque lake Issyk Kul. The teams from nineteen countries competed in ten sport activities. Along with sporting events, in the course of games there were ethnographic festival in breath-taking clove Kyrchyn.
Sprawly city of nomads tents became the platform for demonstration of habits and traditions of Kyrgyz nation connected with the birth of child, his upbringing, and customs accompanying a human during his life.
The rich heritage of a country demonstrated in Games of Nomads as well as eye-catching horse show caused a lively interest and positive feedbacks of spectators from more than thirty countries.
The second International games of nomads will start on the 3-rd of September, 2016 in city Cholpon-Ata at Issyk Kul coast.
In the event there are nearly 200 sportsmen from 40 countries. This year the program was added with the national sport activities of Turkic-speaking nations and countries, particularly, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Yakutia.
The program of games includes the breath-taking competitions, festival ‘the Universe of nomads; and other cultural and sporting events at the race track in Cholpon-Ata and in the cultural center Ruh-Ordo.
In 30 kilometers from Cholpon-Ata there is a unique ethnical city consisting of 228 nomads tents at the center of which Khan Ordo is to be located. As well, jailoo-tourism invites everybody who wishes so to check their marksmanship in the archery.
The heads of state and authorities, official delegations, prominent activists of culture and science as well as numerous foreign mass media will become the participants of such ambitious event as International games of nomads.
