The event celebrating the national holiday of Pakistan was visited by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors to Ukraine of Argentina, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iraq, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Palestine and many other representatives of diplomatic missions.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Pakistan to Ukraine Wajahat Ali Muftee thanked everyone who came to the event for accepting the invitation to join the celebration of one of the most important days of the country which marks the anniversary of the formation of the Islamic Republic on March 23, 1956.
Pakistan became the world's first Islamic republic, i.e. the state governed also by the Islamic clergy. The starting point in creating a new state on the basis of the Dominion of Pakistan was the adoption of the Lahore Resolution in on March 1940, according to which were established the principles of the future structure of the Muslim state.
In Pakistan Day celebrations are held in the country. In particular, the celebration of this day includes military and civilian parade in the capital of Pakistan, the state award ceremony. Traditionally wreaths are laid in the mausoleums of Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
